SHIS was engaged in the rural development programs with health, hygiene,
education economic progress and community development, SHIS thought
of doing something constructive towards rehabilitation program. It
all started with the destitute, orphan and street children. The management
of SHIS then realized the evils of the notorious dacoits of Sunderban
villages who are nightmare to the villagers. SHIS made a thorough
study on the subject and went deep into the cause of such unethical
activities. Poverty and unemployment were found to be the prime cause
for a youth to become dacoit. |

SHIS has recently approached the known dacoits through the Police authorities and other sources and persuaded them to leave the illegal profession and come back to mainstream. SHIS offered them bunch of proposals for their livelihood so that they can earn money, meet their daily need and look after them and their families. SHIS intends to carry out regular programs with these youth and is determined to bring them round so that they live like other citizen those who live with integrity. |
