Location

We are at Bhangar, District South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. Bhangar is a part of Sundarbans, which is world’s largest delta with mangrove forest and home of the famous Royal Bengal Tigers, Golden Deers, Crocodiles. Olive Reedley etc. Our programmes are spread over 2100 villages, some can only be reached by boats only. These areas are home to disadvantaged and economically underprivileged people, who live below the poverty line, even by Indian standards. Public hygiene and health care was unknown before we stepped in with our health care programmes which includes control of T.B., Eye Care which were rampant in these poverty stricken areas. Today, women empowerment through self help programs, sanitation and depollution of drinking water are the programs where the villagers take active participation with us.
