Mother
& Child Health Care

SHIS,
in association with German Doctors Committee, started
a massive Mother and Child Health Care program in more
than 50 villages in then Bhangar Block of South 24 Parganas
District of West Bengal in India. The aim of the program
is to render basic curative service to the pregnant mothers
and baby care. Added to this, child’s growth and health
care of mothers during anti natal and post natal stage
have been given more emphasis.

The project being focal one in the manifestos of SHIS,
administering Vaccine to the Children and medicines to
the Mothers for their health and family planning are the
key points of Mother and Child Care Program. The following
is the immunization chart for the year 2002-2003.
