An English medium school for the girl children of Sunderbans area has started functioning with all infrastructure of education. Competent teaching staff members ensure that the poor children from the backward villages are not deprived of higher education. A hostel facility for the distant students is likely to come up very soon. The program has received tremendous reciprocation from parents who now dream of their children be educated for their future career. |
Girl Children in the villages are utterly neglected for their education and knowledge. In order to enlighten the society, SHIS took a vow to educate the girl children of the Sunderbans villages. Sponsorship programme for girl child education was started in 1995. After achieving a level of awareness among the parents regarding the necessity of education of the girls in this epoch,we have been supporting the most deprived sections of girl student till class X and in some cases also beyond. SHIS Germany and SARI, France have been instrumental for extending their aid and support.
