SHIS Institute for Socio-Technical & Educational Research (SISTER)
SHIS Institute for Socio Technical & Educational Research (SISTER) has been conceived primarily as an institution that is responsive to and is available for providing technical assistance to SHIS for unfolding its potential capacities through research. The goal of this institution will be to improve the capacity of SHIS by facilitating reform, technical innovations and improved information sharing among all the stakeholders at the Institutional, National, District and sub- district level, through specific capacity development and convergence models. One such course, DOCA (Diploma in Ophthalmic Clinical Assistance) has already been initiated under the affiliation of Vidyasagar University and the final semester of the 1st batch has been completed.
SHIS is currently in negotiation with WBUT to introduce few other socio technical courses which can lead to capacity build -up of the youths through enlightenment, empowerment and self-reliance.
