Dr. Tobias Schueth
Dr. Tobias Schueth is a German. He is a doctor by profession and a friend of SHIS by conviction. Dr. Schueth has been supporting SHIS since 1986. His dedication and commitment to the health care and Mother & Child programs of SHIS have resulted in healthier mothers and children in Sunderbans region. The Mother & Child health care program was designed by Dr. Tobias Schueth in association with Dr. Renate Konig. Dr. Tobias Schueth formed the Friend of SHIS in Germany. Dr. Schueth is always considered to be an active member of SHIS family. He is adored and loved by the villagers. If we think that SHIS is a body, we should think that Dr. Tobias Schueth is a part of it. He has made extensive survey on TB and its treatment in the villages of Sundarbans area and submitted detailed report with specialized recommendation on treatment of TB conforming to the guide lines given by WHO. This has gone a long way for the treatment of TB patients by the SHIS medical teams.
